On the 50th anniversary of the Munich Summer Olympics Games and the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes, the Center for Jewish Impact (CJI) teamed with Maccabi Tel Aviv and FC Bayern Munich Basketball Clubs to hold a series of events today on December 2nd in Munich as part of the "One Team - One People" initiative. These events aim to strengthen the relationship between the State of Israel and Jewish communities throughout Europe and fight antisemitism through sports.

When CJI learned of an antisemitic campaign in Krgyzstan resulting in its World Ort school receiving a 30-day eviction notice, we launched an international diplomatic effort, led by our chairman Robert Singer, to support the small Jewish community. These efforts brought the issue in front of the Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov, who ultimately intervened to cancel the eviction notice.

The One Team-One People projects continued today in Athens, Greece, led by the Center for Jewish Impact, Maccabi Tel Aviv and the World Zionist Organization. Today, Tuesday, an official wreath-laying ceremony took place at the National Holocaust Memorial in Athens, a memorial that commemorates the thousands of Jews that were murdered during the Holocaust.

The Center For Jewish Impact has been working tirelessly to help the Ukrainian refugees who have fled abroad, in a desperate attempt to find shelter. Last week the Center kicked into high gear. Along with the humanitarian assistance the Centre provided, the Center's Chairman and its Senior executive flew to Romania for an urgent visit where they met with the heads of the Jewish community, JDC, Nativ and representatives of the Romanian government to get an assessment of the refugee situation.

Today, the Center for Jewish Impact in partnership with SASA Setton, Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club and EL AL worked together to produce hundreds of boxes of vital goods, consumer products and basketballs. These will be provided to mothers and their children who are based across the refugees' centers, that have fled their home country of Ukraine as it has become engulfed in conflict, fleeing with frighteningly little to Bucharest and other cities throughout Romania.

This morning in Berlin, as part of the One Team - One People project, the Center for Jewish Impact stood united with Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball, the World Zionist Organization and the Israeli embassy in Germany against antisemitism, and supported Maccabi Tel Aviv as they adopted the IHRA's working definition of antisemitism, and invited other sports clubs to join the important act. The event was followed by an emotional ceremony at the main Holocaust memorial.
