Center for Jewish Impact Welcomes Two Senior Legal Scholars Delegations to Israel
Senior legal professionals from the Baltics, Balkans, Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea visited Israel for firsthand discussions on international law, security, and Israeli society.

The Center for Jewish Impact (CJI), in partnership with Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hosted two delegations of senior legal scholars from 11 countries during October 2026, bringing together judges, prosecutors, legal academics, and senior legal professionals for a series of meetings, briefings, and visits across Israel.
Throughout the visits, participants met with senior officials and legal experts at the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Supreme Court of Israel. Discussions addressed international humanitarian law, proceedings before international courts, and the legal challenges facing Israel following October 7.
Beyond official meetings, the delegations visited communities affected by the October 7 attacks, including Kibbutz Be'eri, Kibbutz Nir Oz, and the Nova Music Festival Memorial. They also traveled to northern Israel for security briefings at the Alma Research and Education Center and met with members of the Druze community in Hurfeish. Additional meetings with Israeli civil society representatives, diplomats, and CJI leadership offered further perspectives on the country's challenges and complexities.
At a time when Israel faces growing legal scrutiny and international debate, these delegations reflect CJI's commitment to bringing senior professionals to experience the country firsthand, engage directly with its people and institutions, and develop a deeper understanding of the realities shaping Israel's present and future.
Participants have already published articles sharing their experiences and perspectives with audiences in their home countries, including in Bulgaria's Trud News and Kosovo's Nacionale.
