We had the pleasure of hosting Kosovo's Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Svecla, as part of his visit to Israel. The meeting was a follow-up to our Chairman, Robert Singer's visit to to Pristina three years ago, as well as to the Balkans Forum Against Antisemitism.
The issues discussed were the development of the bilateral relations between Kosovo and Israel, as well as the importance of strengthening ties between the populations of both countries. In addition, they discussed the development of national identities, education and technological education, high-tech and the establishment of special educational institutions in Kosovo. Furthermore, the issue of adopting the IHRA working definition of antisemitism was raised and the Minister of the Interior gave his support in the advancement of its adoption, which was also agreed upon by the current President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.
