Central America Forum for Israel
On Thursday, July 29th, 2021, the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) and Center for Jewish Impact, in partnership with the Israel-Guatemala Friendship League and Congress of the Republic of Guatemala, will host the first-ever Central America Forum for Israel, celebrating Israel’s deep and longstanding ties in the region.

This Chanukah, the Center for Jewish Impact led the 1000 Chanukah Candles of Remembrance campaign in the memory of the Jewish community of North Macedonia which was destroyed in the Holocaust, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bitola Monastir Jewish Heritage Foundation.

Speaking to Channel 9, Israel's leading media channel in the Russian language, the Center for Jewish Impact's Chairman Robert Singer introduced the work of the Center and addressed global issues facing the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
WATCH - Special event of lighting the Menorah together with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv
As part of the 1000 Chanukah Candles of Remembrance campaign, the Center for Jewish Impact led a special commemoration event together with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, the leading basketball club in Israel, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, lighting the Menorah and shining a light in the memory of the Jewish community of North Macedonia which was perished in the Holocaust.
Remembering the Jewish community of North Macedonia with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv
On Monday, December 14, as part of the 1000 Chanukah Candles of Remembrance campaign, the Center for Jewish Impact teamed up with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to light the menorah in the memory of the Jewish community of North Macedonia which was destroyed during the Holocaust.
The event included our Chairman, Robert Singer, Chairman of Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, Shimon Mizrahi, Ambassador of Israel to North Macedonia, Dan Oryan, Israel's Ambassador of Goodwill and Maccabi Tel Aviv Hall of Famer, Tal Brody and more.
During the event, Holocaust survivor Mati Greenberg shared his story of being the last baby that was born in North Macedonia and survived during the Holocaust.
1000 Chanukah Candles of Remembrance
"1000 Chanukah Candles of Remembrance" is a global campaign led by Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bitola/Monastir Jewish Heritage Foundation and the Center for Jewish Impact that calls people from all across the world to light the menorah during Chanukah, December 10-17, 2020, in dedication to the memory of North Macedonia Jewry, which was almost completely destroyed during the Holocaust. From a prosperous and joyful community of 8,000 members on the eve of World War II, only 2% survived. It is our mission to share their stories and to remember them, now, and always.
The Knesset's Committee on the Promotion of the Status of Women and Gender Equality
On Tuesday, December 8, 2020, Sonia Gomes de Mesquita, the Executive Director of the Center for Jewish Impact delivered an address during the Israeli's Knesset Committee on the promotion of the status of women and gender equality. As part of her remarks, Sonia credited the excellent work that is being done in the schools in the hospitals all across Israel, which are led mainly by women. This is a part of the mandatory law in Israel to provide education to all hospitalized children in Israel who stay at the hospital for more than three days, in partnership with the SASA Setton initiative.
The South Program IV by the Council of Europe
On Monday, November 23, 2020 the Center for Jewish Impact participated in the South Program IV by the Council of Europe, comprised of senior representatives from the Middle East and North Africa, which is generally focusing on promoting human rights and the rule of law.
During this gathering, which deliberated on the issues of preventing violence against women and economic crime, the Center was represented by Adv. Tom Gal, a PhD candidate from the University of Geneva and an expert on international law.
As part of her address, Tom mentioned the leading role that Israel is demonstrating in the Knesset, by passing laws that help prevent violence against women.
2020 Balkans Forum Against Anti-Semitism
On Wednesday, October 28, 2020 the Center for Jewish Impact co-sponsored and was one of the main organizers of a historic gathering - the 2020 Balkans Forum Against Anti-Semitism, in partnership with the Parliament of Albania, the Combat Anti-Semitism Movement (CAM) and the Jewish Agency for Israel, with the aim of creating a united front in the Balkans against anti-Semitism.
The unprecedented event followed the adoption of the IHRA working definition on anti-Semitism by the Parliament of Albania, and among its participants were: the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, Speaker of the Parliament of Albania, Gramoz Ruci, the U.S Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, Speakers of Parliaments of Kosovo, North Macedonia and Montenegro, Speaker of the Knesset Yariv Levin, U.N High-Representative Miguel Angel Moratinos, Israel's Minister of Diaspora Omer Yankelevich and many more distinguished speakers.
2020 Kyiv Jewish Forum
On September 9, 2020, Robert Singer, the Chairman of the Center for Jewish Impact, spoke in the annual Kyiv Jewish Forum, as part of a distinguished panel together with Aaron Frenkel, Chairman of the Board of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress and Marina Yudborovsky, CEO of Genesis Philanthropy Group, at the worldwide annual Kiyv Jewish Forum on the issue of Jewish leadership in the fight against COVID -19.
United Nations in Geneva & World Academy of Art and Science Conference
On June 18, 2020, Robert Singer, the Chairman of the Center for Jewish Impact gave an address as part of a distinguished panel in the Global Leadership in the 21st Century Conference - Transformations of Global Education led by the United Nations in Geneva and the World Academy of Art and Science, emphasizing the importance of education in shaping global leadership.
