Our Chairman, Robert Singer, spoke today in a special event in Yad Kennedy near Jerusalem, in partnership with

Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Keren Kayemet Le'Israel (JNF) and Bitula Jewish Heritage Foundation to plant a tree as a token of commemoration of the Jewish community of North Macedonia who perished in the Holocaust. The event was held in the presence of Stevo Pendarovski the President of North Macedonia, Gary Koren, Deputy Director-General for Euroasia and Western Balkans at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Dan Oryan, the Ambassador of Israel to North Macedonia.

 

During his address, our Chairman said: "We are pleased to take part in another significant collaboration of the Center for Jewish Impact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Ambassador Dan Oryan. Together with KKL-JNF and Bitula Jewish Heritage Foundation, we will continue to commemorate the memory of the Northern Macedonian community, especially on this symbolic day. We would like to invite more organizations to join us in this important commemoration project."

On Thursday, July 29th, 2021, the Center for Jewish Impact and the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM), in partnership with the Israel-Guatemala Friendship League and Congress of the Republic of Guatemala, will host the first-ever Central America Forum for Israel, celebrating Israel’s deep and longstanding ties in the region.

The special virtual event -- marking the third anniversary of the proclamation of Guatemala’s Israel Friendship Law -- will bring together top leaders from across Central America to reject Jew-hatred and unite in a powerful show of support for Israel.

This historic gathering will highlight the common values and interests underpinning Israel’s relationships in Central America, and further cement its strategic alliances in the region.
